The Bachelor Degree Program (BSc.) in Health Services Administration (HSA) has been designed to enrich students with in-depth knowledge; provide decision-making skills related to healthcare institutions; empower students to assume their future administration roles as supervisors and managers of healthcare institutions; help candidates understand and identify the legal and ethical standards governing the professional conduct in the field of health services, especially with regards to the health administration profession.
 
The Program’s duration is five years. During the first year (2 semesters), a foundation program of different courses is administered to students, including the English language, basic sciences as well as the set preparatory year program. The following three years (6 semesters) are allocated for the intensive study of the specialty prerequisite courses of the program to maintain that candidates acquire the scientific knowledge, specialty skills, ethical and professional values. On the other hand, the fifth year is the supervised practice year (Internship Year) in which students are trained in a hospital under the supervision of competent professionals and in accordance with the applicable training plan of the Internship Year.

    Attained Skills are to:

  • Acquire a meticulous awareness of the organizational structure and occupations within the national healthcare system, such as the hierarchy of the healthcare system and healthcare institutions.
  • Understand the economic, financial, social, legal, structural, and policy regulating concepts which distinguish the Saudi healthcare system which acts as a comprehensive national healthcare system across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Seize and take advantage of the administrative and technical capabilities and competencies, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as specialized scientific knowledge, the necessary skills for developing healthcare leaders and administrators in healthcare management.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding and application of practical planning through the use of information sources to achieve the organizational goals of health institutions and improve overall performance

Clinical Training

Male and female student training is considered an indispensable pillar for Al-Ghad International College for Applied Medical Sciences’ standards in the achievement and completion of the educational, training and academic process. Training ensures to qualify our male and female students to obtain the right employment opportunity, and to help link them to the labor market. Training is meticulously supervised by specialists in this field. Moreover, partnership agreements are concluded with hospitals and health centers.
 
Accordingly, a specialized unit has been established on each campus for the purpose of supervising the students’ training. The unit seeks to provide appropriate training opportunities that are in line with the academic and clinical standards. Training is provided throughout the period of study and during the internship year. Distinguished and well-reputed hospitals and medical centers have been selected for training students of both genders.
